It may sound bizarre but exploring your own area, or a staycation is both affordable and can boost the local economy. Here are some tips to successfully plan your very own staycation before the summer ends.
- Start making your plans today! Look up all the things your local area has to offer like museums, eateries, and hikes. Think about where you would take a friend who was visiting from out of town.
- An overnight trip a few hours away is a great escape. Pack light and drive a couple hours away to explore.
- Although you may be on a budget, make your staycation feels like a real vacation and try to eat out at least once a day. Take a night away from the kids for a nice dinner and hire a babysitter.
- Put things like cleaning to the back burner while you’re on your staycation. This is your relaxation time so don’t be afraid to kick back and relax.
