While summer brings opportunities for relaxation and fun, it is important to understand the dangers associated with the summer heat.   • Hydrate! There is nothing more important than consuming enough water each and every day. You may want to carry around a refillable water bottle with you each day to make sure you hydrate enough!
  • What you wear each day is also important. Try to wear light colored, light weight, and loose fitting clothing each day to protect yourself.
  • Sunscreen! You must lather up each day, head to toe, in order to remain protected. It is also not enough to lather up in the morning – you must reapply throughout the day.
  • Whenever you know that you will be spending the entirety of your day outdoors, it is smart to wear a wide brimmed hat for extra sun protection.
